Transport options for AC/DC Concert


If you’re heading to the AC/DC concert at Western Springs travel on train and special event buses is included with your event ticket.
Date: Tuesday 15 December 2015
Place: Western Springs Stadium
Time: Gates open 5.15pm.

Bus - Special event buses
Travel to AC/DC on the direct special event buses from Quay St is included with your pre-purchased event ticket. Remember to keep your event ticket for the ride home.

City centre – Special event services depart from bus stop 7301 on Quay St (between Queen St and Commerce St) approximately every 10 minutes between 4.30 and 7.30pm. Return services leave from a temporary stop on Williamson Ave (between Great North Rd and Dryden St). The last bus departs at midnight.

Northern Busway – Special event buses depart from Albany bus station around every 15 minutes between 4.00 and 7.00pm and travel via the Northern Busway stations (excluding Hibiscus Coast). Services drop-off at bus stop 7041 at the bottom of Queen St. From there you can head to Quay St and catch one of the event buses to Western Springs. After the concert the last bus to the Shore leaves the bottom of Queen St at 12.30am.
Train

Additional train services will be running on all lines. You can travel on trains up to 3 hours before the concert starts and until the end of services for the night. Get the train into Britomart and then jump on one of the special event buses to Western Springs.
Ferry

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is located on Quay St in Downtown Auckland. This means ferry passengers can easily cross the road and catch the special event buses. Normal fares/passes apply for ferry services. For regular scheduled services to and from the city please use the Journey Planner.

Walking/Cycling

You can walk or bike to Western Springs from many areas in Auckland.
Traffic/Parking
There will be issues with traffic and you should avoid driving in the area. There will be parking restrictions around Western Springs so if you are driving park outside the restricted zone and walk.
