Water Restriction Update 007

Hahei - Total hose and sprinkler ban now in place. Water consumption has been very close to consented limits for three days despite the recent rainfall.

Whitianga - Sprinkler ban now lifted, no water restrictions in place.

Pauanui - Sprinkler ban. Hand-held hoses only.

Tairua - Hose and sprinkler ban. Tairua is only keeping up with demand. The main reservoir level is steadily recovering but is still less than 50%. The rate of recovery will depend on active water conservation. Please actively conserve water, above and beyond normal conservation practices, potentially until the peal population starts to recede.

Matatoki - Hose and sprinkler ban.

Matarangi - Hand-held hoses on alternate days: odd-numbered addresses can use water on Jan 7, 9, 11 etc and even-numbered addresses on the 6th, 8th, 10th etc.

Whangamata and Omahu - Sprinkler ban only.

Thames, Puriri, Onemana and Coromandel - Currently no water restrictions.

Water restrictions are reviewed daily but updates will only be provided when there is a change in water restriction status.
