UPDATE: Bay Of Plenty Identifies Geotextile Material
That Washed Ashore at Ōmanu
Further to our media
statement yesterday we can now confirm the geotextile
material that washed ashore at Ōmanu was part of the
artificial Mount surf reef. Regional Council is currently in
the process of getting quotes for removing the remaining
part of the reef. When sea conditions allow we will
investigate further to assess the current state of the reef.
