X-Factor musical artists Benny Tipene and Sarah Spicer will be in Thames on Valentine's Day for an intimate performance at Victoria Park.

'Live on the Lawn' is brought to you with the help of a $3,000 grant from our Major Events Fund and in conjunction with Coromandel's MORE FM and Destination Coromandel - the Regional Tourism Organisation.
"The focus of our Major Events Fund is to select events that are unique, preferably in the off-season and over time will become self-sustaining," says our Deputy Chief Executive Ben Day.
"This musical event is specifically designed to provide a draw card for tourists and local families into the Thames area," says Mr Day.
Benny Tipene is known for his appearance on the first New Zealand series of The X Factor where he finished in third place - and since then has skyrocketed to stardom.
Sarah Spicer featured on NZ’s X-Factor last year and is a Waihi local.
Sarah Spicer performs from 2.30pm-3pm, Benny Tipene from 3pm.
