Top shot wanted for Annual Plan cover

Christchurch City Council is asking photographers to capture a vibrant image of a city Coming Alive for the cover of its Annual Plan.

The Annual Plan will shape the city over the next year and beyond, and Mayor Lianne Dalziel is keen to find a stunning shot.

"We want a photograph that captures the vitality and regeneration of our city and suburbs as the Council looks to the future in this Annual Plan," says Mayor Dalziel.

The best photograph will appear on the cover of the Council's flagship document for the year, the Annual Plan 2016/17. An Annual Plan explains what the Council plans to do in the next financial year and how we will pay for it. The draft Annual Plan goes out for public feedback in March.

Anyone can enter up to five images in the photography competition, which closes on 21 February. To find out more, or to enter, go towww.ccc.govt.nz/annualplan

The photography competition winner will receive a $50 photography store voucher and acknowledgement on the inside cover of the Annual Plan consultation document, which may also feature other competition entries on inside pages.

The winning image and other highly commended photographs will also go on display in the Council's Civic Offices in March.
