Dunedin hospital
is responding well to an incident on Castle St this
evening.
A balcony collapsed at approximately
7.45pm. 17 patients are being assessed at the emergency
department at Dunedin Hospital.
Their conditions are
not available at this time.
An Emergency Operations
Centre has been set up and incident controller Tina
Gilbertson commented that Dunedin Hospital’s mass casualty
plan has been activated and is working
well.
