March Madness hits Upper Hutt

March Madness hits Upper Hutt

This fair is as much about street theatre and live music as it is stalls and clearance bargains!

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 11 MAR 2015—The streets of Upper Hutt will come alive on Saturday 19 March as the March Madness Fair returns for its fourth year. From 10.00 am to 4.00 pm Main Street will be transformed into a shoppers dream, covering four blocks from Royal Street to King Street.

Over 200 stalls line Main Street, bringing with them an array of local arts and crafts that complement the amazing end of year bargains on offer in Upper Hutt’s shops.

With free street theatre, live music, performing arts, and a full stage, this fair is as much about food and entertainment as it is the extensive selection of street stalls.

Experience the excellent food from any of our 30 food stalls, ranging from your favourite fair foods to gourmet cuisine and everything in between. Take a break at our Main Stage where you can sit, relax and enjoy our fantastic line-up, showcasing the best of Wellington and New Zealand music.

Street performers and buskers delight at the Performance Stage, providing entertainment for the whole family. Designed with children in mind, there is plenty of entertainment for pre-schoolers as well as the older kids.

Join us for a day of family fun! This event will go ahead rain or shine. See the Upper Hutt City Council Facebook page for updates on the day.

The March Madness Fair is organised by the Upper Hutt City Council and promoted by the Upper Hutt Leader.
