Local Roads Update:

Port Charles (including Waikawau Bay, Sandy Bay and Little Sandy Bay):

• A large slip between on Port Charles Road between Port Charles and Big Sandy has closed the road 50 metres from Big Sandy Bay. Our contractors have a crew heading north to start clearing this slip. The remainder of Port Charles Road from Colville Road to Port Charles is open, but is one lane in some places.

• Parakete Bridge, Carey Road and Mcleods Bridge, Port Charles Road (By Port Charles Fire Station) both have damage so proceed with care and light vehicles only over these bridge is recommended.

Port Jackson:

• A crew is on site on Port Jackson Road reinstating Ohinewai Ford and we should have an update later today.

Colville:

• Colville Road - multiple slips - down to one lane in places

Kennedy Bay:

• Kennedy Bay Road closed Coromandel side due to a drop out - access from Kennedy Bay through Colville to Coromandel is open to one lane in places.

State Highway 25:

• Whangapoua Hill - Due to a slip between Coromandel and Te Rerenga the road is blocked both ways. Contractors are on the site clearing the slip. The road is not expected to be open before 5pm today as several more slips have been found. Please delay your trip or take the alternative route.

• Thames Coast - open we recommend proceeding with caution in case of debris and loose rocks.

Tapu-Coroglen:

• The Tapu-Coroglen road is closed on the Thames side of the summit due to a slip. Our contractors are still working on Tapu-Coroglen Rd clearing the slip and I have just been advised it will be open to one lane this afternoon.

309 Road:

• Open and clear, we recommend proceeding with caution in case of debris and loose rocks
