Police seeking damaged Toyota Rav4

Police seeking damaged Toyota Rav4 in relation to Napier burglary

A man broke into a Napier house at 5:30 am on Sunday 24 April.

A young couple were awoken by a man who walked into their bedroom brandishing a hammer and covering his face with a bandana.

He left after a short time in a vehicle, which took off at a high speed and hit a tree stump on the way out of the driveway.

The driver of the vehicle left damaged parts behind where the car crashed.

Police believe the parts belong to a two tone dark Toyota Rav4 – it will have moderate damage to its front left bumper.

Two individuals were in the car but only one went into the house.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Paul Buckley at Napier Police paul.buckley@police.govt.nz
