Police seeking to identify ram raiders

CCTV footage released of Kumeu ram raid

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify those involved in a ram raid at an Auckland service station.

Around 3.30am on April 27, a vehicle reversed into the glass doors of the Z Energy service station in Kumeu.

The offenders entered the premises and stole a large amount of cigarettes and cash.

Three cars and up to 10 offenders were involved in the raid.

A service station employee was in the premises at the time of the ram raid but luckily was uninjured.

Detective Debra Brewer of Waitemata Police says Police hope that CCTV footage of the ram raid will help identify the offenders.

“Most of those involved have concealed their faces but there is one whose face we can clearly see.
We ask anyone who may know who these people are to please come forward,” says Det Brewer.

If you have information that can assist Police please call Orewa Police Station on 09 426 4555 or you can call the organisation Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

CCTV footage of the ram raid is available on Waitemata Police Facebook page.
