"Dunedin Police seeking possible hit and run victim"

At about 3:30pm today the 22nd of May Dunedin police were called by a member of the public who witnessed a possible hit and run on the corners of George and St Andrews Street central Dunedin.

The pedestrian involved was described as a elderly caucasion male aged in their late 60 early 70's.

This male was wearing what looked like a blue and black Swandri jacket.

The vehicle involved was a small blue Nissan hatchback with white signwriting on the sides of the vehicle.

The vehicle which was followed into the meridian mall and abandonded by the two teenage occupants was discovered as having been stolen over night.

One of the males aged 13 has was located after the pair were spotted by police conducting enquires in the area.

He has been spoken with by police and referred to Youth Aid for further action.

The other male aged 15 who is known to police is currently wanted by police for breach of bail.

Police would like to identify and speak with this unknown elderly gentleman from the incident on the corner of George and St Andrew Streets.

Further to this police would also like to speak with any witnesses who saw this incident, the vehicle and or occupants of this vehicle.
