Temporary water shutdown in Linton this Saturday postponed

MEDIA ADVISORY

Temporary water shutdown in Linton this Saturday postponed

The temporary water shutdown scheduled in Linton this Saturday28 May has been postponed due to a heavy rain forecast.

The Council’s water supply to Linton was to be turned off from9:00am to 2:00pm in order to connect a new pipe in Old West Road, Turitea.

PNCC Water Asset Engineer Dora Luo says “The new pipe and fittings need to be welded before they can be connected to the existing water system. That work needs to be carried out in dry conditions.”

Residents will be informed of a new date as soon as possible.
