The Opening is your exclusive opportunity to preview the initial exhibition. Guests have the priority option to purchase artwork from the show and from the final art award selection.

Guests are invited to join other art lovers as we celebrate with live music by Katie Thompson, enjoy a wine by Lawson's Dry Hills and sample a selection of cheeses by Wangapeka Cheese. The presenter for the night is Chris Lynch.

The Christchurch Art Show 2016 Awards

Over 150 images were supplied for this year’s art awards, from this selection our 2016 judge David Woodings narrowed it down to 24 works that were previewed at QB studios last Friday night. A further selection process of the physical 24 works has narrowed the finalists to just 10 works which are eligible for The Christchurch Art Show's 2 Awards (photography below by ©CMG Studios).
