Scurr Heights Land Sale Successfully Concluded
The successful sale of the Queenstown Lakes District Council’s 10.69 ha Scurr Heights block opens the way for a new residential subdivision in Wanaka, with the proceeds of the sale benefitting ratepayers.
The Council approved the sale to Universal Development Ltd for $15.65 million plus GST at Thursday’s Full Council meeting.
Deputy Mayor Lyal Cocks said that the open tender process had proved very successful, with a large number of tenders submitted.
“The proceeds of the sale will be a huge benefit to our communities now and in the future”, Mr Cocks said.
The land is zoned for residential development.
