Human Milk Bank Community Open Day 11am This Sunday

Human Milk Bank Community Open Day 11am This Sunday (June 12, 2016)

Canterbury DHB’s Human Milk Bank, within the Neonatal Unit at Christchurch Women’s Hospital, is holding a Community Open Day where interested people, especially mothers, are invited to learn about what a Human Milk Bank is and how it serves the community.

Media are welcome to join but we ask that you let the CDHB media advisor know in advance of your attendance.

The open day will also include talks about the milk bank and a chance to hear from previous donor mums’ experiences of donating milk.

You will also get an opportunity to look around the Human Milk Bank itself.

Attendance places are strictly limited to minimise exposing the babies within the Neonatal Unit to colds and flu especially at this time of the year.

We would ask that if anyone has a cold or is unwell please keep warm at home, more Open Days will be organised later in the year.

Date: Sunday 12 June, 11am

Place: Parent Education Rooms, Lower Ground Floor, Christchurch Women's Hospital. Parking is available at the Deans Avenue Park and Ride.

Please RSVP to Amy Milne amy.milne@cdhb.health.nz
