Woman assaulted in Brooklyn, Wellington

Police are investigating an assault in Central Park, Brooklyn at around 7:00pm this evening.

A woman was grabbed by a male and dragged into the bushes on the walkway between Ohiro Road and Brooklyn Road.

The victim managed to fight off the offender, who may have also been disturbed by a noise.

The offender ran away on foot.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the Central Park area this evening who may have information relevant to this investigation.
