Ate, shopped, won … a trip to Thailand!

Elisabeth Button is lucky her brother lives in Melbourne – because flying out of Christchurch Airport to visit him helped her win a trip to Thailand and Singapore.

Christchurch-born Elisabeth lives in Saudi Arabia and while home to see family, she made a quick dash across the Tasman to visit her brother.

As she departed from Christchurch, she stopped to buy M.A.C. Cosmetics duty-free, spent more than $20 and so qualified for an entry in the “Eat, Shop, Win” competition which ran at airport retail outlets for the month of June.

A few days later, she was told she had won the trip to Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa in Pattaya, Thailand, with two nights in Singapore on the way, flying on Singapore Airlines.

“I am absolutely delighted. I never win anything, so have been on Cloud 9 ever since I was told I had won this trip,” she says.

“I’ve haven’t been to Singapore and am keen to visit Thailand again, so I am very excited about going to both places, especially the resort in Thailand.

“My husband and I will probably go early next year to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. My mother has offered to look after our pre-school children so we can see and do as much as possible while we’re there.”
