Fatal crash near Taupo

Two people have died after a vehicle collision near Taupo last night.

Emergency services were notified about 10.50pm that a vehicle had rolled on Tirohanga Road.

It appears to have hit a tree.

Two occupants of the vehicle are deceased, and a third was taken to Rotorua Hospital with moderate injuries.

More information will be released when it is available.
