Family fun guaranteed tonight at Illume: Winter Festival of Light

Coromandel Town lights up for Illume Festival every July
There is plenty to keep all members of the family entertained tonight and tomorrow night during the third annual Illume Winter Festival of Light in Coromandel Town.

The festivities begin this evening with a night market, live music and a special Kidzone for the little ones.

The fun continues on tomorrow evening with the night market, street parade, a massive fireworks display and more live music.

"This year we're expecting more people and even better fireworks - if that's possible - than last year. Thanks to PowerCo for sponsoring the fireworks this year," says one of the organisers, Sandra Wilson.

The Kidzone on both nights has all sorts of wonderful wintery activities including a mini sleigh tug, glowing ring toss and snow balling. There will also be special guests and a talent show.
