Fleeing driver incident – New Lynn

Police have arrested two men following a fleeing driver incident in Auckland this morning.

A speeding blue Subaru Legacy station wagon failed to stop for Police in the Green Bay/New Lynn area around 10.50am and fled Police.

Two of the occupants of the car also have outstanding warrants to arrest.


The Subaru car was driving at 80km/h in 50km/h zones and collided with a moving vehicle on the corner of South Lynn and Golf Rds, which then hit another vehicle.
The Subaru continued driving.


No motorists were injured in the collision however two passengers were being checked over by Ambulance at the scene.
Police temporarily blocked the intersection while motorists and passengers were being assessed.


The Subaru was located soon after abandoned in Avonleigh Rd, Green Bay.
Police have apprehended two of the occupants and are following positive lines of enquiry to locate the third occupant.
