Call for Nominations for live crowdfunding event debut

Call for Nominations for live crowdfunding event debut in Christchurch

The Funding Network calls for applications from Christchurch charities.

The hunt is on for three Christchurch charities to pitch for support at The Funding Network’s live crowdfunding event in September. Each charity will pitch for funding for a specific project working to benefit Christchurch Youth between the ages of 12 and 24. The call for nominations for charities is out now. Deadline for applications is the 25th of July.

The event will be held on the 13th September, 5.30 pm at the new Vodafone building in the Innovation Precinct.

The Funding Network (TFN) is an international movement that’s been described as crowdfunding meets Dragon’s Den. The Funding Network has run events in Auckland and Wellington and is thrilled to debut in Christchurch this year.

These events are fun. Participants will leave energized, inspired, feel more connected to their community and have deep insight into the fabulous work the selected charities do. One past attendee/donor called the event “a fabulous night out and a great networking opportunity.”

Previous events have raised between $8,000 and $10,000 for each of the four charities who have been selected to take part.

TFN’s Christchurch event is hosted by The Vodafone Foundation and is sponsored by The Gift Trust with in-kind support from Philanthropy NZ and Brown Bread. The Funding Network was launched in NZ by the Auckland Communities Foundation. Together we are supporting smaller charities’ vital work in the community. We invite you to join us.
