Appeal over Grasmere incident

Southern Police are appealing for information after an incident in Grasmere on Monday night.

At approximately 10.30pm, on 18 July 2016, a resident in the Grasmere area was disturbed by someone trying to remove an item from their car.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 5ft 5in-6ft tall, and was wearing a dark hoody pulled over his head.

When disturbed, the suspect ran from the property, crossed the railway tracks and was last seen running in the direction of Ross Street, Invercargill.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time.

A white Ford Falcon seen on Wallace Street on Monday night is also of interest to the Police.
