Body found in Mount Maunganui


Police are investigating after the discovery of a body in Mount Maunganui this morning.

A member of the public alerted Police to the male, in his mid-40s, in the surf between Leisure Island and the main Mount beach just before 8am today.

The male has now been retrieved from the water.

Further detail will be released when it is available.
