Search for missing Tuakau children continues

Enquiries to locate two children who left a Tuakau address overnight Monday are continuing today.

Inspector Kay Lane says Police do not hold specific concerns for the safety of Te Morehu McLean (15) and his sister Anahera (7), and today are making further enquiries with their extended family in Auckland to help locate the children.

The pair left their caregiver’s residence late Monday night.

“We do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances involved however we would really like to hear from anyone who knows their whereabouts, so we can confirm they are safe,” says Inspector Lane.

Te Morehu is described as Maori, 5 foot 7 inches tall of solid build and with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing Nike shoes, light brown coloured pants and a Kathmandu puffer jacket.

Anahera is described as Maori, of average height and small build.
She was last seen wearing a “Frozen” branded onesie.

People can provide information to Counties Manukau Police on 09 261 1300 or contact 111 if they see the pair.
