Hawke’s Bay’s youngest city councillor seeks second term
Annette Brosnan (28) has had a successful first team serving her childhood communities of Tamatea and Onekawa and today formally announces her candidacy for a second term on Napier City Council.
Annette is remembered by many for personally knocking on 4402 doors in 2013 to introduce herself to the households of the Onekawa/Tamatea ward, which stretches from Anderson Park to Georges Drive.
“I have really enjoyed the evolution and challenges of the last three years and am looking forward to being part of the progressive team next term” she says.
Annette is proud to have championed developments for Pirimai and Tamatea Parks, cycleway, green belt and environmental improvements this term. She is looking forward to continuing to advocate for community driven projects.
Annette currently represents Napier on committees for Neighbourhood Support, Holt Planetarium and Historic Places, as Deputy Chair of Council’s Grants Allocation, Regulatory Committees and as a nationally accredited RMA commissioner Annette’s also on Council’s Hearing Committee
“Being approachable is a big part of the Councillor I am, a lot of my ward know me personally and feel they can pick up the phone and talk to me if there is an issue they need to raise or a point they want to make”
