Hawke's Bay Police charge two with supplying drugs

Hawke’s Bay Police executed a search warrant at a Hastings address on Thursday.

Cannabis, ammunition and cash were recovered and a 44 year old woman and her 17 year old son have been charged with supplying cannabis.

The man has also been charged with supplying a person under 18 with cannabis.

They are due to appear in the Hastings District Court next week.

“Drug supply causes significant harm,” says Detective Sergeant Craig Vining.

“The people charged today have previously been victims of violence as a result of their own offending.”

“The drug dealing industry is brutal and unforgiving.

Police will strenuously target people who supply drugs in our community.”

Anyone with any information of drug dealing in the area can call Hastings Police station on (06) 831 0700.

Alternatively, anonymous information can be provided to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
