Invercargill Police investigate small fires

Invercargill Police investigate small fires


Invercargill Police are investigating three small fires that have been lit in the Queens Park surroundings.

At around 2.55am on Friday 22nd July, a small fire was lit near a fence close to the playground area.

Pine needles have also been lit on fire on two separate occassions amongst the pine trees along the north track at the back of Southland Boys High School.

These two incidents have occurred on Sunday 24 July at approximately 10.10am and Monday 25 July at approximately 6.15pm.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact the Invercargill Police on 03 211 0400.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
