Robbery at the Butt Bucket - Palmerston North

Palmerston North Police are investigating an aggravated robbery this morning at a discount tobacconist, The Butt Bucket, on Main Street.

At approximately 7:35am an offender entered the store armed with a knife and demanded money and tobacco.

The offender has then left the store with a sum of money and tobacco products and headed towards Vogel Street.

The staff member is understandably shaken but was not physically harmed during the incident.

Police ask anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious to please contact Palmerston North Police on 06 351 3600 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
