Bottled Water Gifted to all Havelock school students

One Pure gifts safe drinking water to all Havelock North schools on opening morning

Wednesday 17 August 2016, Hawke’s Bay. Tomorrow morning as Havelock North secondary school students’ head back to school after days of being closed, they will each be greeted with a free bottle of water from One Pure. Bottled water will also be distributed to all primary schools for students when they return to school.

One Pure is gifting over 7,500 litres of water to the eight schools of Havelock North. This is coming in a mix of 320ml water bottles, 1.5lt bottles and 10lt bags in a box for refilling. One Pure are noted for sourcing quality water.

Havelock North Primary Principal Nick Reed says, “We were thrilled when One Pure approached us earlier in the week asking how they could help. While a safe drinking vessel may not seem like a big deal to many people, for those children who have had the bug and seen their family with the bug, it gives them an element of confidence in what they’re drinking.”

Paul Kim from One Pure says, “We would like to help the community of Havelock North in this devastating time. To be able to provide safe drinking water for all school children and the staff at the schools is one small thing that we can do.”

Mainfreight have also come to the party and have been keen to help in whatever way they can. Local Mainfreight branch manager John Mackay says, “To be able to help by bringing the water from Auckland and taking it to each of the schools is meaningful for us – we’re all part of this community together.”

With the One Pure water plant in Awatoto due to open later this year, they have already been actively working with local groups. One Pure has a clear long-term vision to re-invest back into the Hawke's Bay community and support the people of Hawke's Bay.
