Pukehina Crash: Three Seriously Injured

At approximately 2:30pm today, Bay of Plenty Police attended a serious crash on Otamarakau Valley Road, Pukehina.

A pedestrian pushing a stroller with two children on board has been struck by an SUV towing a trailer.

The two children, an 11-month-old boy and a two-year-old girl, were flown to Waikato Hospital by helicopter.

They remain in critical condition.

A 33-year-old woman, who was pushing the stroller, has been transported to Tauranga Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the SUV was not injured and is helping Police with inquiries.

The Serious Crash Unit are at the scene.

Police’s thoughts are with the families of those involved at this tragic time.
