Record Breaking Supper Club for Ronald McDonald House Charities in Wellington

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) held its 13th annual fundraising event The Supper Club in Wellington on Tuesday the 13th of September.

A Wellington record-breaking $78,000 was raised to support families at the Wellington House as they embark on their child’s medical journey together.

The Supper Club is a unique dining experience and invites people to purchase a table and enjoy a mystery dining experience at one of many top Wellington restaurants after a first rate cocktail party were the dinning destination is revealed. All proceeds go back to support RMHC and keeping Kiwi families close while their children receive specialist treatment in hospital.

The event would not be possible without some key sponsors making Supper Club the event to be at last Tuesday night. A big thank you to the likes of Spy Valley Wines, Black Dog Brewery, Wellington Combined Taxis, Moore Wilson’s, Multi Media Services, Brady Dyer Photography, The Baseline Group and of course the fantastic Wellington restaurants for their integral generosity.

Guests started their evening at Te Whaea: NZ National Dance and Drama Centre to discover a Parisian theme where they enjoyed canapes, signature cocktails thanks to Coco at the Roxy’s Ray Letoa and a surprise Parisian style dance to kick off the live auction and bring some extra excitement to the evening.
Chief Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand Wayne Howitt said: “It was great to see the community getting behind RMHC and supporting us to help raise the most seen at Wellington Supper Club yet. The incredible support shown by our sponsors and guests show the dedication to support something that is close to all our hearts- family.
