"SH2 closed at Apata, Tauranga due to serious crash"

Drivers are advised that SH2 in Apata, Tauranga is closed due to a serious crash.

Diversions are in place via Apata Station Road but delays are expected.

The crash happened just before 6pm this evening and involved two cars.

As a result of the crash two patients have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
