"Man stabbed in Avalon, Lower Hutt"
Police are in attendance at a property in Avalon, Lower Hutt, where a man was stabbed shortly before 8pm tonight.
The man is in a serious condition and has been transported to Wellington Hospital by helicopter.
Police believe the offender was known to the man and there is no risk to the public.
A woman is currently assisting Police with their inquiries.
