Update on search for Lucas Cochrane
The search continues today in Whitianga for missing teen Lucas Cochrane.
Fifteen LandSAR members will be searching the inner township again from Lucas' last known point. The Police National Dive Squad (PNDS) will be searching the waterways and Surf Life-Saving will be assisting the police dive squad with this search phase.
The Coast Guard will be assessing the water currants to see if thist will assist with the search.
Police are continuing to speak with family members and associates of Lucas.
Updates will continue throughout the day and media will be notified of any changes or new information.
