Labour Weekend rubbish and recycling Kerbside collection

Labour Weekend rubbish and recycling Kerbside collection

After the Labour Day long weekend, our Kerbside rubbish and recycling collection will be a day later than usual, the week of 25-28 October.

So if your rubbish and recycling is usually collected on a Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday instead.

The full schedule for the District is on our website at www.tcdc.govt.nz/kerbside

The week following Labour Day is Week 1 of our biweekly recycling collection, so if your wheelie bin has Week 1 on the white sticker on the side, put out your wheelie bin and crate for glass bottles and jars. If your wheelie bin says Week 2, put it out for collection the following week, between 31 October and 4 November.

Remember, if you miss your rubbish or recycling collection, or you're visiting your bach and the Kerbside collection is after you leave, you can drop off rubbish in official blue Council bags and recycling for free at all our Refuse Transfer Stations.

All of our Refuse Transfer Stations (RTS) are open throughout the entire weekend, including Labour Day Monday, until 5:30pm.

Check our website for the full list of RTS locations and hours: www.tcdc.govt.nz/rts
