Greenslade Road residents asked to conserve water

Greenslade Road residents asked to conserve water as pipe is repaired

Waikato District Council still working really hard on the Raglan water situation. Residents are doing a great job conserving water, but they need to continue with what they’re doing.

This morning residents in the vicinity of Greenslade Road can only use water for drinking purposes as they’re now being supplied by a water truck pumping into the area. Staff weren't able to repair the burst pipe overnight due to dangerous ground conditions.

Council continues to ask all other Raglan residents and businesses to continue conserving water as water continues to be trucked into the town’s reservoirs.
A tanker remains at the Fire Station for those who need it. Residents are reminded to take their own water containers and drink bottles to fill.

Otonga Valley Road update:
Council’s roading team has brought in a temporary bridge so local residents once again have access in and out of Otonga Valley Road.
A culvert collapsed on the rural Waitetuna road on Monday night which restricted access for more than 15 families in the valley.
The bridge is now in place and at 9pm last night residents once again had access in and out of their road, less than 24 hours after the incident occured.
Only light vehicles (regular cars, no trucks) will be able to use the temporary bridge.
