"Auckland Police attend fatal Remuera crash between car and pedestrians"

Emergency services are attending a fatal crash on Shaw Road, Remuera following a collision between a car and two pedestrians shortly before 9am this morning, Sunday 4 September 2016.

One pedestrian has died and the other is in a serious condition.

The driver is uninjured.

Traffic is heavy and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Due to an event nearby, multiple roads are closed and motorists are reminded to drive with caution and to follow diversions currently in place.

While next of kin are being informed, no further information on the deceased will be released at this time.

The Serious Crash Unit will be investigating.
