Cyclist injured near Taihape

CYCLIST INJURED
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched Waiaruhe Road near Taihape today around midday after a cyclist was injured when he came of his bicycle. The group he was riding with set of a Personal Locator Beacon, as well as calling emergency services, to assist in locating them. The patient, a man in his 60’s, suffered head and leg injuries and was stabilised by St John paramedics before being airlifted to Whanganui Hospital.
