Data issues resolved the old fashioned way
15 December 2016
Last week, Bay of Plenty Regional Council advised that there were some gaps in on the Live Monitoring website due to radio interference causing a number of issues with the gathering of data from remote sites.
The problem was caused by interference on the radio repeater and Council worked with the service provider to isolate the issue and find a solution.
Council’s Data Services Manager, Glenn Ellery, acknowledged the great work of the Whakatane Radio Telephone Users Association.
“The team at the WRTUA worked hard (and I hear they had to find an old tool at the back of the equipment store) to isolate the issue. We were then able to have the fault fixed and get back to working as normal.
“So it’s good news for regular users of the Live Monitoring service online – we are back to business as usual,” Mr Ellery said.
