New Year's Eve Countdown hits the mark

This year's new Year's Eve Countdown
saw 2,500 Nelsonians and visitors getting their groove on
with a night of reggae and beats on the Church steps.
This year’s line-up included DJ / MC duo Beatwater, local band Not Bruce Willis, Wellington reggae band Tomorrow People, Nelson’s dynamic house and beats duo Kennedy and Serpico, with visual performances from local artist Klaasz Breukel.
The family friendly atmosphere made it a successful event for all, with Nelson Police and other services including St Johns Ambulance Services and the Nelson Street Ambassadors on hand to ensure New Year's revellers could enjoy themselves in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
The New Year’s Eve Countdown was presented by Nelson City Council as part of the Summer Events 2016/17 programme.
