Please attribute the below information to Steve Yanko, St John District Operations Manager.

• St John can confirm it has responded to the incident involving a bus at the intersection of SH 47 and SH 48 in Tongariro Forest Park.

• We can provide the below information about patients - this is the most up-to-date information:
o 2 patients with serious injuries being flown to Hamilton by rescue helicopter
o 2 patients with serious injuries being flown to Palmerston North by rescue helicopter
o 7 patients with minor to moderate injuries being transported by road to Taupo
o 1 patient with moderate injuries being transported by road to Rotorua
o 3 patients with minor to moderate injuries being transported by road to Whanganui

• St John has now stood down from this incident.
