Fun on the farm will be the order of the day on 21 January at Battle Hill Farm Forest Park near Pauatahanui as the regional community is invited into the park to find out what farming is all about.
The farm day will feature a wide range of activity. Kids will be able to watch shearing in action in the woolshed, romp in the hay, get close to the farm animals and enjoy dog trials. They’ll even be able to feed the farm’s famed tame eels.
Adults will also be able to join in the fun or grab a cup of coffee and have a chat with our agronomist to learn a bit about sustainable farming. And Silver Fern Farms will be providing cooking demonstrations throughout the day.
The farm will be open between 10:00am-2:00pm and entry is free. Please leave dogs at home as this is a working farm.
