BEN & JERRY’S OPENAIR CINEMAS RETURNS FOR A SECOND LEGEN-DAIRY CINEMA SEASON IN AUCKLAND

Auckland, January 2017 – There a few signs which signal summer is truly here - longer days, warmer weather and the return of Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas. The quintessential summer cinema returns to Auckland from February 2nd to March 5th for a second year following a legendary season in 2016. Kiwis will once again enjoy a season of movies, ice cream and sunsets back dropped against the picturesque Western Springs Quarry, near Auckland Zoo.

If you’re looking for a romantic, sunset filled evening for date night, drama and laughs for a girl’s night out or some family fun, Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas is a must-do to add to your list this summer. Featuring a wide range of movies and a smorgasbord of food and drink to keep your taste buds tantalized, you’ll be entertained from start to finish. The event, which saw patrons consuming over 160,000 scoops of ice cream last year, will be open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the season with a packed itinerary of quirky comedies, with a packed itinerary of quirky comedies, award-winning features, highly anticipated blockbusters and cult classics. Get into the Spirit of Summer with Ben & Jerry’s Sundae Sessions Make it a night at the flicks with the Sundae Sessions, kicking off on 5th February. Ben & Jerry’s Moveable Feast No movie session is complete without its snacks, so to keep thirsts quenched, the cinema comes with a fully licensed bar offering Giesen wines, Monteith's beer and Rekorderlig cider.
