Last week for summer Kerbside schedule

Last week for summer Kerbside schedule

Our summer schedule of extra rubbish and recycling collections across much of the Coromandel ends on Saturday 11 February. Our normal schedule resumes on Monday 13 February.

For properties in the Coromandel Town and Te Kouma area, Thames Coast and Manaia, Thames and surrounds, and Thames South Rural, rubbish and recycling collections will be a day later than usual in the week following Waitangi Day.

For the complete summer schedule for each area of the Coromandel, go to www.tcdc.govt.nz/kerbside, or scroll down to see the schedules.

The non-summer schedule that begins on 13 February is available on www.tcdc.govt.nz/kerbside as well.

We're sorry!

In some of the "Our Coromandel - News from Thames-Coromandel District Council" ads in local newspapers this week we got some of our Kerbside information a bit wrong.

In the February issue of the Matarangi Beach Paper, the 1 February issue of the Tairua Local Advertiser and the 31 January issue of the Mercury Bay Informer, we wrote that our rubbish and recycling collection would be one day later following the Waitangi Day public holiday. This later collection only applies to properties from Coromandel Town south to Hikutaia.

And, in the 27 January Hauraki Herald, we said the collection following Waitangi Day would be one day later than usual for the Thames Coast and south to Hikutaia. We forgot to mention this also applies to Coromandel Town and Te Kouma.

We're very sorry we got this one wrong. But rest assured, the schedules as published on our website and on the tear-off pads available at libraries and dairies around the Coromandel are still correct.

All of our Refuse Transfer Stations (RTS) are open on Waitangi Day from 10:30am to 6:30pm. And the extended summer opening hours for our RTSs runs until Sunday 26 February.

For the opening hours and locations of all seven of our RTSs go to www.tcdc.govt.nz/rts.
