Pre Event Media Release: Geneva Healthcare’s 7th Annual Cruise the Bays Event

For Immediate Release

Geneva Healthcare’s 7th Annual Cruise the Bays Event

If you can do it, so can I

Cruise The Bays is the annual ‘Round The Bays’ for New Zealand’s disability sector. It is a series of races along Mission Bay for persons with disabilities as they are empowered to go for their personal best, while being cheered on by friends, families, industry stakeholders and community supporters.

It’s a celebration of life with the added colour and excitement of a ‘Bubbles & Balloons Colour Cruise’ themed event on March 10 at the Mission Bay Fountain in Auckland. Update: Venue Change

This year is set to become the biggest event yet with expected VIPs from the government attending to help celebrate the day, headlined by the Hon Dr Jonathan Coleman, Minister of Health, Sport and Recreation; MP Simon O’Connor, Chair of Health Select Committee and MP for Tamaki; Poto Williams, MP for Christchurch East; and a surprise celebrity emcee.

With plenty of post race activities, entertainment and food, the day is set to be a festival that persons young and old, abled or with disabilities, from all over New Zealand can enjoy.

Geneva Healthcare wants everyone in our communities to be able to live the best lives they can whatever their situation or disabilities. We provide persons with disabilities a caring home environment at our 25 Community Living Homes across Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua and Tauranga. The annual Cruise The Bays event is just one of the many ways that our clients, and the wider disability community, are enabled the opportunity to reach goals and achieve their personal milestones.
