State Highway roads CLOSED
State Highway 25 Whangamata: The road is closed because of a large slip. There is a detour through Whangamata town.
State Highway roads OPEN
State Highway 25 Hikuai to Tairua.
State Highway 25a Kopu to Hikuai: The road is now open to one lane. Please abide by all speed restrictions and expect delays.
State Highway 25 from Thames to Coromandel town (Coast Road): The highway is open but small slips are continuing to come down. For safety reasons people should avoid using this road.
Kuaotunu Hill has traffic control in place and is open to one way traffic, but take care (SH25).

Hikuai Settlement Rd Pauanui
The 309 Road
Tapu-Coroglen Road- around 4km West of the Coroglen side of this road has been blocked by the rising river, road closure at this location is to be put in place.
If you need to drive please take care and let friends and family know your route and times for travel.
We are also experiencing water pressure issues around Matatoki, Pururi, Omahu Valley and we have just arranged a water tanker to be outside the Pururi Pub within an hour for those who want to come and collect water.
Rain expected to ease off. Take care out there.
