Submissions open on ORC draft Annual Plan

Submissions open today on the Otago Regional Council’s 2017/18 draft Annual Plan, which outlines proposed changes to the council’s work programme from the Long Term Plan.

A consultation document inserted in community newspapers will be distributed in letterboxes region-wide this week. This document and the draft Annual Plan itself will also be available from ORC’s website (www.orc.govt.nz), council offices, and public libraries throughout the Otago region.

The council is also holding public meetings around Otago, as well as online via Facebook.

The locations and times for these meetings are as follows:

ORC chairman Stephen Woodhead encouraged residents to read the consultation document, attend the public meetings, and provide feedback to the council on the proposed plan by the end of the submission period, which closes on 12 May.
