Invercargill Police Seeking Information on Waimatua Crash

Invercargill Police seeking information following crash

Invercargill Police are seeking information from the public following a crash on Gorge Road, Waimatua on the night of Saturday 5 August.

The crash happened at around 10.45pm where it is understood a westbound vehicle has been struck by silver Toyota travelling east, causing it to lose control and hit a power pole.

Following the crash the driver of the silver Toyota has fled the scene.

The driver of the car which lost control received moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to hospital for medical treatment.

Police would like to speak to the driver, occupants or owner of the silver Toyota.

They would also like to hear from anyone who may have information about a silver Toyota that is missing a wing mirror and with extensive damage to the driver’s side.
