UPDATE - Crash in Te Puke

One person remains in a critical condition following a crash in Te Puke yesterday.

The driver of the people mover-type vehicle died at the scene of the crash, which saw the vehicle collide with a tree on Jellicoe Street around 6pm.

The passenger in the vehicle remains in hospital.

The Serious Crash Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash, and there is no further information available at this stage.
