Morrinsville firearms incident

Waikato Police and AOS staff executed a search warrant at an address on Studholme Street, Morrinsville this evening in relation to the ongoing investigation into the firearms incident on Sunday 13 August.

The search warrant has been completed and the cordons that had been set up in the area have been stood down.

A guard remains at the property and a search of the address will continue tomorrow for evidence in relation to the firearms incident.

As part of the ongoing investigation Police are continuing their efforts to locate 36-year-old Rollie James Heke.

Anyone who sees Heke or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Police immediately on 111.

Heke is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Inquiries to locate Heke will continue tomorrow.

Anyone with information on Heke’s whereabouts should contact Police immediately on 111.
